The Short Version
We collect the minimum data needed to make SLYCE work. We don't sell your info. We keep it secure. You can delete your account anytime.
Who We Are
SLYCE is operated by Dave, a sole proprietor based in the United States. You can reach us at Slyce@BrewX.com.
What We Collect
When you use SLYCE, we collect:
- Account info (email, name, password)
- Trip data (dates, destinations, accommodations, expenses you and your group enter)
- Payment info if you choose to leave a tip (processed securely through Stripe, PayPal, Venmo, or Zelle - we don't store your full payment details)
- Payment contact info (email addresses, phone numbers, payment app usernames, QR codes) that you choose to share with your group for settling expenses
- Basic usage data (like when you log in and what features you use)
How We Use It
We use your data to:
- Make SLYCE work (show you your trips, calculate who owes what, etc.)
- Improve the product (fix bugs, add features)
- Communicate with you about your account or important updates
- Process tips if you choose to leave one
Not Do
Who We Share With
We share data only when necessary:
- Payment processors (Stripe, PayPal, Venmo, Zelle) if you leave a tip
- Cloud hosting providers where our servers live (USA-based)
- Law enforcement if legally required
Payment Between Users
SLYCE helps you keep track of who owes what, but we don't process payments between group members. When you add payment contact info (like your Venmo username or Zelle email), you're choosing to share that with people in your trips so they can pay you directly.
We're not responsible for: Incorrect contact info you enter, Failed payments between users, Disputes about whether someone paid, Issues with third-party payment services. Think of us like a whiteboard that helps you organize - we show the math and your payment info, but you're handling the actual money stuff directly with each other.
Your Rights
You can:
- Access your data anytime
- Delete your account (and all your data) whenever you want
- Export your trip data
- Ask questions about what we have

Security
Your data is stored on secure servers in the United States. We use industry-standard security practices. That said, SLYCE is currently in beta and run by one person - I'm doing my best, but no system is 100% bulletproof.
